About the Mountain Bread & Food Factory
The well known Mountain Bread™ Company is a family business that specialises in the production of a unique flatbread. Whilst relatively new to Australia, this traditional bread has been widely eaten in other parts of the world for thousands of years.
Mountain Bread™ broke into international markets in 1999, beginning in the US. It now successfully exports to the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Fiji, Dubai and throughout Asia.
In order to meet demand, production was recently moved to a purpose built factory in Reservoir, Australia featuring state of the art equipment.
Mountain Bread™ has a thin, dry and soft texture that is not doughy like other breads and is widely regarded as a healthy alternative and is therefore highly popular with dieters and Doctors.
Mountain Bread™ has traditionally been used as a bread substitute for sandwiches and wraps or as a pasta substitute; but there are many uses of this versatile bread ranging from savoury to sweet. You will find some terrific recipes in our Mountain Bread Cookbook

Mountain Bread™ can be frozen, and if kept in its sealed plastic bag away from heat and sunlight the bread will last longer.
