I recently decided to get back into the gym after I saw myself gaining extra pounds and just not being happy with what I saw. I have a good deal of weight lifting and bodybuilding knowledge, and I actually felt ashamed that I allowed myself to get even half way out of shape despite having the necessary tools. I re-started weight and cardio training back in April. I saw a good amount of results and I was marginally satisfied, but when you were at your peak once, you're willing to do whatever it takes to get back to that level. This lead me to Muscletech's Nano Vapor supplement. It's said to provide Immediate Energy, Focus & Strength, Maximum Pumps, Lean Muscle & Recovery. Seriously, had I reviewed this product about three weeks ago based on first impressions, then you would have been reading one of my most scathing reviews in recent memory. Fortunately, my view has changed drastically.
This portion of the ingredients list is listed as Other Ingredients, they are: Glucose Polymers, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Calcium Carbonate, Silicon Dioxide, Acesulfame-Potassium, Sucralose, FD&C Red No. 40 Lake, FD&C Red No. 4.
Personally, I do not feel that stuff is really that important, I think the meat of this product is in the Supplement Facts; the product is listed to be 45 calories in a single scoop, 130 in 3. That's actually nothing, you can burn that off even half assing your workout. It has 3 grams of Carbs and no Sugar, plus Vitamin's C, B6, and B12, those are good things. It has 5 grams of Creatine. I have been told by experienced lifters not to consume more than 10 grams of Creatine per day. Muscletech's, Cell Tech, boasts 7 grams of Creatine, while Mass Tech boasts a whopping 10 grams, stack at your own risk. Now the ingredient that I believe should be a cause of concern is the 130mg of Caffeine Anhydrous.
The directions state that this is an extremely potent product. It states to begin dosage with only one serving 30 minutes before workout, and gradually build towards 3 mixing it with between 8 - 12oz. of water. It also warns to drink 8 glasses of water daily. Muscletech dropped the ball with their directions, since it's not clear at all on how to load this stuff. The Caffeine dosage is pretty damn strong. I began using this product with only one scoop, and despite my tough workout which consist of 30-40 second rest breaks, I found myself unable to sleep in the beginning. I was forced to extend my workouts with cardio in order to burn this thing out. That's a little of a problem since I'm not a gym rat, I want to get in the gym and get out. I know some people with similar experiences, and I even know one fool who began with the 3 scoop dosage, and he began vomiting like crazy. So I recommend following the instructions best you can.
Now since Muscletech decided to leave their customers in the air concerning directions, I started using the product only three times a week the first week. The second week I continued with one scoop extending it to five days. I have done this for a total of two weeks now, and I've built a tolerance to it. I sleep very well now, there's no longer a need to extend my sessions, and I get really good pumps that begin somewhere in the middle of my workouts. If you're unsure on how to dose this, then follow my directions with it. If you're still feeling funny or even getting the shakes after loading this for about a week after those smaller doses. Then drop this thing because it's probably not for you.
Nano Vapor definitely increases my energy, since I always feel like I can do more. Strength, I have gotten stronger, but at my own risk, I'm stacking this with Mass Tech. My bench press has jumped 60 pounds to 315, but I believe this has more to do with muscle memory. Muscle recovery, well I jam a lot of protein and meals, so I'm completely unsure on how much this contributes.
I experience longer pumps now not only lifting weights, but also during cardio sessions consisting of push-ups, burpees, dips, and divebombs. I'm also retaining muscle, so the product has definitely lived up to its claims.
Mixing is very easy; you just add the recommended water dosage in a bottle and shake it. The fruit punch flavor is pretty standard and isn't tangy. If the taste feels a bit sharp then simply add more water. The best part about this product which is in powder form, is that it doesn't clump together forming chunks, which can lead to some of the stuff being wasted. This is actually a huge problem with Cell Tech.
Now even though supplements will assist in your weight training, they won't get you big or ripped all by themselves. Many inexperienced weight lifters believe this stuff is the only answer, and when it fails them, they are very quick to accuse all bigger guys of steroid use. Well, I got news for you, it's possible to take steroids and still not get much. You must know how to train and train hard, period. If you're looking for strength and mass, you have to lift heavier weights. Find a weight heavy for you that can be done for 8 reps but no less than 6, for about 4 sets with short rest breaks, 30-45 seconds. Plus you need your healthy meals which should be around 6-7, with protein shakes making up about 3 of those meals with plenty of rest. Plus those meals must contain complex carbs, you can't just abandon them. You also need to change up your workout routine. I switch mine up every 4-6 weeks. If you are not doing all of these things you aren't going to get much results. At least not in the long run anyway.
Bodybuilding is pretty complicated, but with enough research you can get what you want. I also recommend researching this product and read the packaging completely until you understand what you're using. Yes, Nano Vapor is working for me, this is my first exposure to the product and I may continue using it for a while longer. I did experience my negatives in the very beginning, but that's pretty much over now. If you're looking for that pre-workout boost then this is a good product to try. I'm not saying it's the best, but again, it's working for me and I do my workouts first thing in the morning and it gives me the fast pep no matter how lazy and unmotivated I can feel. But again, if you're experiencing something weird that doesn't seem to be getting better over time, then drop this product because it's probably just not for you.
Pros: -Does everything it says
Cons: -Poor direction label will lead to experimenting, plus will not agree with everyone
