I am an avid fan of reading books that were later reproduced as full-length feature films. I thoroughly enjoyed Jack Nickolas' performance in the film version of the story, so it felt only natural to read the original novel. Well written tale of a man wrongly put into a 1960s mental insitution. He is not mentally ill but cannot convince anyone of his sanitry. Good story and the actual residents of the facility and how they cope with their illness and incarceration.
