I have now been in college for 5 years and this is my first semester taking all my courses online. I thought I was going to be able to keep up with 4 online classes. It is extremely hard to do. They say you do it on your own time but it sure does not feel like it. I don't really save that much money in gas because I still have to buy the book and be on the internet to do my work. It might be harder because of the classes I am taking but regardless I would not recommend taking more than 1 class online per semester.
Plus the on campus experience is so much better. You get involvement with students and have an opportunity to be involved with student activities and clubs/organizations. Of course you could do that along with taking online classes but you have to really want to drive to school every club event when you don't have class on campus.
I myself was a highly active student on my campus. That is more why I am hating my online classes. But if you read my review about traffic in LA then you will know I currently do not have a car.
Again, stick to taking your classes on campus if you want an overall better college experience! Then again, some people prefer all online...the choice is yours.

Hmmm, I've taken online classes from three different schools over the years, and I've had different experiences at all of them. Plus, they were all in different formats, too. In the first one, I read out of a text book and then took tests online. In the second class, I streamed videos recorded from a live lecture, did homework and took tests that I submitted online, and went to campus to take my final, and in my third online class, I actually did field work and then submitted journal entries, as well as papers, online. As you can tell, they're all very different!
I agree with you, though; taking a class on campus is a way better experience! I only opt for online classes when I can't fit a class on campus into my schedule, or the locations are way out of the way.
Well, I hope you've gotten used to your online courses and are doing well in them!
I agree with you; unfortunately, every year there are fewer in-class classes. I like to take foreign languages, and many of the classes at my local college are on-line. How does one learn a language without hearing it or speaking it?
