There Are No Problems Only Solutions - What a Great Motto!

The author, Michael Domino sent me a free copy in exchange for a non-biased opinion.

In the author's introduction he stated that the book is a collection of actual experiences garnered on the streets of New York City with all kinds of people that the author met through mundane circumstances. This intrigued me to start reading and I was hooked. The book reads like one of the several movies of vignettes of New York City (think New York Stories). From the very first story I was hooked. It is a tale of an ex-con/mafioso named Ricky Glasses who everybody ignores. The author takes a special interest in him and Ricky ends up being a big help when Hurricane Sandy hits, taking nothing in return but Indian brand tobacco.

Other tales include a dangerous business that Mr. Domino ran that at one time got some mysterious new employees that turned the business around, an encounter with a fortune teller, a ride-along with a private investigator to meet a mafia turncoat and of course the biggest short story that is the title of the book.

The author describes throughout how he observes people to get his ideas and is always willing to jump into uncomfortable situations with the motto "there are no problems, only solutions." I couldn't put this book down and found most of the tales to be incredibly interesting. The book reminds the reader that all people, no matter what their circumstances, count for something and usually have something intriguing about their life. I hope Mr. Domino has more of these tales coming. I also would like to be able to post this review on more sites as I do not see the book yet on Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
