Do you love your pet enough to want to take them with you on your vacation but the airlines will only let you take them if you put them in with all of the luggage? Well, if you do, I have a solution for you and that is to purchase a "Petmate Small Cabin Kennel" model number 21060. You can get one of these for the simple price of a small tank of gas between twenty to thirty dollars. These will last you a lot longer than a tank of gas. Description
The kennel is made of a very durable plastic and comes with a stainless steel top. There are forty ventilation slots that will surround your pet while they are inside of the airplane home. This comes in a bleach white or off white in color, it is 17" long x 12" wide x 8" in height. This will house a small pet Yorkie or a small terrier. We have a miniature that does fit inside but they can't stand up until we get to our destination. This kennel weighs less than twenty pounds. There are two sliding latches the work very easily. They will help in keeping your pets safe and are able to allow you to have easy access in an emergency. The really nice feature about this, is the fact that the top has a wire grating to allow you to see and talk to your pet during their flight and to give the most adequate ventilation.

Experience
Ever since my wife got her miniature schnauzer as a pet, I have been playing second fiddle to this pet. She see more cuddle time than I have even though we have been married for ten years. My wife likes to take her little Snickers just about anywhere that we go. She loves going to PetCo or PetSmart to peruse the doggie treat isles. This year when we went to Florida she did not want to leave our other child at home. We don't trust anyone to watch her, and make sure that she is attended to on a regular basis.

We were worried about taking this on the flight because of all of the restrictions that they have now-a-days. But, I am here to tell you that you should have no problem getting this on your flight. They did not charge us an extra bag fee, because this kennel fits perfectly under my wife's seat. So this does not take up an extra seat or take up any space in the overhead compartment. If you had to put your four legged friend in the luggage compartment, we have found that it gets really hot and cold and the climate change really affects the temperament of our pet.

My wife agreed with me and said that she really liked the fact that she had access to her little Snickers while they were on the flight. She had heard how stressful it is on the animals when they are in the hole. With our pet inside of this kennel the total package weighs less than 40 pounds. This may be a pain carrying around but the peace of mind, knowing that your pet is safe and secure and the fact that you have strict control over their care is priceless.

Conclusion

You will not have to worry about getting turned away and them saying that you can't take this on the plane with you. I have done a lot of phone calls and everyone that I talked to said that this is an airline approved pet kennel. It is like getting a airplane ticket for only twenty. We have dropped this, of course when it was empty and all it did was bounce a little. This is very durable and east to clean since it is made of plastic. A simple spar of the garden hose and a mixture of bleach and water will disinfect the Kennel. This is a very safe way for you to take your pets on a trip whether you go on a plane or in the car or even, or even on a train or bus. In my book this is a very nice kennel to have around even if your pet wants to hide for that snuggly feeling.
