For the first time in 15 years it looks like our government may partially shut down while everyone figures out how to allocate money.  The blame here is allotted to the political parties who have allowed this situation to develop in a game of "chicken" which holds the American people hostage to a power struggle between our nation's parties.  It's stupid.  It's counterproductive.  It's what we have come to expect from politicians.      …

It's all about $$$ (or rather, the lack of it)!
This is nothing new. The Government has shutdown before in the U.S. As much puzzled as I’m, it does happen in this part of the world it seems. Government employees not paid. Why? Probably due to the government extensive debt! Policies and politicians’ agendas are imbalanced! What? What's NOT to love about a partial shutdown? (There IS NO SUCH THING as a government shutdown; all that happens is non-essential services are disengaged. Please don't buy into the fallacy that a government shutdown means seniors are not going to get their checks!) I say, if we can't cut spending back to workable levels, then shut it down until we've shaved enough off the operating budget that we can! That's one way to skin a potato!
