PowerSMS is like texting on steroids...or Viagra for the purposes of this review.

PowerSMS is from Trinket Software and made for Windows Mobile Phones.  It is available from their website directly for $9.95, but if you get it from the Windows Phone Marketplace it is only 99 cents.  PowerSMS is a suite of applications, that gives you some great texting features.  Now let's jump into it and get textually active.  Ummm hmmmm.....

Great Text With Yourself

The first feature is simply a way to text yourself.  I imagine this would be great for a quick little note about a phone number or address or something on the run.  I haven't made use of this feature myself. I know, I know...that's what they all say!  :)

Group Text

Hey, who doesn't love a little group text.  Well, now you can do it easily and repeatedly.  PowerSMS allows you to create groups so you can easily send your book club an update about your analysis of the latest chapter.  Get crazy and imaginative with your group text.

Too Busy for Text

This feature allows you to set the program to send an automatic reply when you are unavailable.  Hey...how about setting that thing when you're at the movies so the rest of us don't have to be distracted by your oh-so-important blue glow.  Phew...glad I got that off my chest.  This is also a great way to tell people that you're driving or in a meeting but will get back with them soon.  It's kinda like a headache for text.

Make Them Wait For Text

With this feature you can type in a text message and schedule it to send later.  I will neither confirm or deny that I've preset some birthday texts for the future.  This feature is not foolproof however.  I scheduled a text for the morning and then did a power cycle on the phone.  The text did not go through as scheduled.  My experiment leads me to believe that you need to restart the program after a power cycle or soft reset.  If the text is good, they'll wait for it.

How Much Text Do You Get

OK, big shot.  Do you think you get a lot of text?  Do you know who your most frequent text partners are?  Well, with the PowerSMS "Cool Stats" feature, now you know.  You can see who texts you the most, what day and time of day you get the most text.

Enjoy yourselves, but remember to practice safe text.

First, I snickered at the headline, and then I palmfaced through the rest of the review *shakes head* :P  I don't text too often, but the last two features do sound nice, especially the last one since I love me some stats!

And yes, please do practice safe texting, everyone!  Especially by not doing it while driving :)

I love it when you get all "palmfaced"!
