I am a huge Robert Plant fan, and I adore Allison Krauss. I wasn't sure what to expect on this cd, though. Each of their music styles is very unique and distinctive. This was a perfect marriage of two different music genres--their voices melded beautifully. Two very differnt artists added together and they create a very different sound together. They morphed into something new and very exciting. I was surprised at how delicate Plant's vocals glide through the air - he has a tendancy to be very powerful. I' wasn't originally crazy about the songs themselves, but they grew on me. I was hoping for something a little more powerful/expressive, and less tenative - perhaps a bit more of a Zepplin-esque storytell slant.
