Rock Spectacle is a fine live recording which includes many of their great early tunes. Brian Wilson and Jane are super recordings and Hello City, Break Your Heart, and Straw Hat And Old Dirty Hank are very pleasant surprises. The rap about Uncle Elwin at the end of the CD is quite amusing.
Also very noteworthy are the arrangements of each song especially in a live setting. Sometiems the focus is on the keyboards, other times more the guitars, bit most often are the little touches given to the vocals. Love the harmonies on Hello City.
A very nice account of the Barenaked Ladies pre-Stunt days. Quite worthy indeed.
