A Quick Tip by MNeulander

I came to appreciate Roy Orbison later in life.  I was 27 and a army helicopter pilot stationed in Korea in 1985 when a room mate of mine introduced me to this great poet, songwriter, and performer.  My roommate would constantly play Roy's albums.  When I asked who was performing I was pleasantly surprised.  I had heard of Orbison but had a misconception that he was primarily a country performer, a genre I do not much appreciate.

Needless to say when I found out he wrote "Pretty Women"  and "Only The Lonely," I was hooked!  I love Orbison's deep melodious voice on the recording of these two great songs!  I really enjoy reminiscing on those days.  Music was so important in our lives back then since there was not many other forms of entertainment.
