Have you ever had a problem with not enough lighting in those small closets or inside of your trunk of your car? Then here is the solution to your problem, a "Sylvania Linear Swivel Light". I went to Lowe's to search for a light over our new sink. The only condition that I needed to be concerned with, is that I did not have to run any electrical and it had to be bright enough and not cost a lot. Lowe's had all kinds of lights to choose from, more than I had ever thought that they had in stock. They had single LED lights and triple LED lights, I chose the triple LED bulb, because I wanted to get more lighting out of a small package. These sell for five dollars each, for the single package and ten dollars for a three pack.

Description
These are the perfect size, they only weigh 4.3 ounces and are 7" long x 1-13/16" wide x 1-1/2" tall. This light takes 3-AAA batteries to run, and the whole thing with the exception of the bulbs, is made of a very durable plastic. The three lights are housed inside of a clear plastic lens that will swivel to where ever you need the light to point. Built in the plastic lens there is two metal contact points that if you make contact with these two points it will turn the lights off.

You can find these in single, double, and triple packages. Other than silver, I noticed that they also sold black and white. The company gives you several ways to attach this light to your different surfaces, they give you two self-adhesive Velcro pads (to attach to and wooden surfaces) and a full length magnetic backing strip, to hold this to all of your metal surfaces.

Experience
There were several spots that I needed lights put up in and the main reason that I purchased this was for a light to go over the sink area, but since they come in different colors and more than one in a package I also found other uses for these lights. We first put one over the sink area and then we needed one inside of the closets that were located just inside of the front door. We also used one as a desk lamp by the computer.

These are very easy to install. You can use the Velcro strip pad and have it adhere to any surface, or you can use the magnet that has a self-adhesive strip on one side. This will allow you to attach this if you need to work on a car or even under the sink to do some plumbing. The light is very bright and if you stare into the light you could hurt your eyes and cause yourself to become temporarily blind, until your eyes can come back into focus again.

With the silver one, it will match all of your stainless steel appliances that you may have in the kitchen area. With the other two colors that they have to offer, you will be able to match just about any décor that you may have in your home. The batteries are very easy to replace, just slide the back to one side and you will see the batteries. The whole back moves to make it easier to replace them instead of using a Phillips head screw to hold the back in place.

Conclusion
These make excellent gifts for the holidays, and whomever you give this to will be quite surprised when they receive these. Usually, they will not purchase these themselves. But, if they were to get one of these as a gift they will more than likely purchase more of them. Five stars for the practical applications and the cost.
