I'm not a real serious nail polish user but in the last year -- since my daughter turned 10 -- I must have purchased 20 or so bottles of polish from different sources: L'Oreal, CoverGirl, Revlon, OPI....
And what I noticed is that Sally Hansen sure has sunk in quality from what I remember. I bought four shades recently at the grocery store because it was on sale, 2-for-1, but even at that price I'm wondering if it's a bargain.
The coverage is awful and it certainly isn't "hard as nails". Instead the polishes -- which ARE beautiful colors -- peal off and chip without anything really having caused it.
Now, to make sure it wasn't just my daughter's inexperience (and to be truthful she's getting close to professional now :) I applied it to her little fingers and my own. Yuck. Like I said, thin anemic coverage and poor results.
Maybe we just got a bad batch, but I would never again buy Sally Hansen "Diamond Strength No Chip" nail color for myself. At half price, it's okay for little girls to play 'dress up' with, but it's little better for wear than the Barbie nail goop.
