Yes, you can live in SF without a car. No, that does not mean the public transit system here is good. San Francisco is an extremely dense urban area, second only to New York City in the united states. That means its easy to live here without a car because you don't need to travel very far even if you are going a long way relatively speaking within the city.      That being said the SFMTA , like many of san francisco's locally-administered services, is rife with fat cat ism, …
