If the Lunch rating scale went beyond +5 ... this little comic book would be [Rating: +11, Spinal Tap style].
Enter Scott Pilgrim, age 24 [Rating: AWESOME!] He plays bass in his band, Sex Bob-Omb, and lives with his roommate Wallace ... [Rating: Decent. He pays the rent.] Scott spends his time going to shows and hanging out with his bandmates/friends... generally rocking out. He is also dating a high schooler, WHAT ... yes, a high school girl, Knives Chau [Rating: Scandelous!] Life is pretty cool for Scott Pilgrim until a new girl skates into town who he falls for. Ramona Flowers. [Rating: Oooh!]
Precious Little Life is the first in the Scott Pilgrim series ... and without giving too much away here ... there is a major plot twist [Rating: AMAZING!] that directs how the entire series will go. They are published as trades, so after you read the first one ... you will have to wait a little bit til the next one comes out. If you're into comic books with hints of indie rock and little gamer touches, then I urge you to read them before the film version starring Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim comes out.

I think I told you they were going to turn this into film.. but Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim?? Sheesh. Scott Pilgrim isn't that pathetic.

What what WHAT? Michael Cera is so rad. I was dubious of a film adaptation of Scott Pilgrim -- but when I heard that Michael Cera was being cast as Scott Pilgrim -- I thought PERFECT. I do not think there's anyone else out there, famous anyway ... who would be a more fitting Scott Pilgrim.
