I absolutely love scrapbooking... I have a whole plastic storage bin (with the pull out drawers) FILLED with random scraps of paper, scissors.. glue sticks... what not!

I think scrapbooking is one of the best ways to keep memories - and for me.. it's a combination of photos, tickets, brochure (and any other random memoriabilia that makes the memory "pop"), and even any journaling, emails or blogs that I had written so I can have a detail account of what happened all in one place! I'm also a super creative person.. I love to design things and be artsy fartsy (I may not be that good at it but that doesn't mean I'm not obsessed) and play with colors, AND take pictures... so what better way to combine all of the above by putting together a scrapbook! But be warned.... scrapbooking takes AGES... I did this for abot 2 weeks straight when I got back from Europe and I had to stop.. it was just too much to handle.. however if you put in the time the result is TOTALLY WORTH IT!

For those of you who aren't as crafty or don't want to be as crafty and girly... there are a lot of online photo places where you can create your own scrapbook, send it in and they'll print it for you!! I'm definitely going to try one of these and print one to put on the coffee table...but the reason why I need to also do a "handmade" scrapbook is because I feel like it tells the story in a lot more detail (plus, its more "me" because I can put my own little splashes in it!). I'm currently 80 pages deep in one scrapbook (well, I've created the pages....but I haven't a clue how I'm going to put it all together in one book.. and I'm not even anywhere near done...if you have any ideas on great places to get cute scrapbooks.... it would be much appreciated!

My friend did on on BLURB (the largest one which ended up costing over $100 after tax and sh&h.. but you'd spend so much more printing the pictures and getting headaches trying to put it together) and speaks very highly of it.  I believe snapfish, winkflash and all those photo uploading and printing websites also create scrapbooks for you.

But if you're ever bored, try scrapbooking! :)

Hey Stephanie-- I know! Isn't scrapbooking addictive? I started when my daughter was born five years ago, and I now have four 4" thick family "yearbooks" that I've completed. I, too, have an huge plastic storage bin full of supplies. I swear, I can hang out in Beverly Crafts or Michaels for hours, just looking at all of the stickers! Jolie stickers are amazing, and amazingly expensive, but so cute that they're worth it. I've also started making my own books, using book board and fabric. That way, the entire thing is completely customized.
