This is the Beatles at their best

I love this album from the Beatles. I love the album cover. It is so unique and colorful. Every time I look at the album cover, I count how many people I can recognize on it. It is fun to spot famous people like actor Marlon Brando and psychologist Sigmund Freud on it. Every track is a beloved classic. The title track really pumps me up. "Lucy In The Diamonds"is a song that continues to dare me to dream and set new goals in life. "When I'm Sixty Four" is a catchy funny tune. I never thought that … more

The Beatles' Most Innovative Album

It seems after decades, 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' would be the all-time chart topper for best rock album of all time. While The Beatles innovated music with every effort they created, 'Sgt. Pepper' should be viewed as their most creative and ground-breaking album. Definitely Creative For Its Time.....But You Make The Call!

This Beatles recording was no doubt groundbreaking. The record itself brought albums to the forefront in the rock music world. The creativity of the music was very high for its time. The different textures that each song brings is fairly stupendous. Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite and A Day In A Life are perfect examples with the surreal organ effects. Pros: Best rock album of all time? Cons: Not long enough Sgt. Pepper heralds the direction that rock and roll will become. Previously, rock albums were a motley collection of songs that had no real theme or direction. Sgt. Pepper is the first such "theme" rock album. Most people think of Sgt.
