I seriously need somebody to teach me how to play these games properly. I can't even get past floor 20 of the Old Road dungeon, and I won't get my kitsune pals back unless I reach floor 38 and defeat the boss there. Thinking about it, I had the same problem with Shiren DS. It took me days just to complete the main story, and I couldn't get far in any of the bonus dungeons. I know people who can clear these dungeons like they are nothing.
What am I doing wrong?
