I'm not very picky when it comes down to handsoap for the house. In all honesty, I'm down right ignorant in that area. So I decided to pick up the one in the prettiest looking bottle. I came across Softsoap about 2 years ago, and I used the original almost ever since. After awhile, it got to the point where the smell was a bit too bland for me, and I wanted something a little more refreshing. I came upon the Black Raspberry & Vanilla scented and I've been hooked to it since.
The soap comes in a small bottle that is easy to prepare by twisting the head, and it will pop up and be ready for use. It soon turns into a push down top, that squeezes out the soap, and distributes a certain amount all depending on the amount of pressure applied. A small amount of the soap will have your hands feeling clean and smelling pretty nice. However, it all depends on what you get on your hands though. Should your hands be very filthy, then you will need larger amounts.
The smell has a nice sweet fragrance that lingers for quite some time. It won't clash with your perfume or cologne if you're wearing some. At least I never noticed that. The bottle can also be reused, and the Softsoap comes in refill bottles.
The only issues I can think of is when the bottle is almost empty, it's practically impossible to get that last bit out. I also don't think the soap is good to use after serious work. I tried using it to get the smell of oil and even caulk off my hands, but it required way too much soap. For that situation, I would use Lava instead, then follow up with Softsoap for a refreshing smell.
Overall, this is a good soap that I keep in the bathroom, and since the bottle is made from plastic. I don't have to worry about it rusting and ruining the white finish on the sink. Recommended.
Pros: -Great smell, moisturizes, bottle can be re-filled
Cons: -Difficult to use the very last bit, not for serious working hands
