I tried the demo for the PS3. It was pretty fun booting it up and playing it. There were so many nice little details you know? It was Green Chills Zone as classic Sonic and the graphics (could use work) but its getting there. The details to the water falls, the backgrounds, the bridge, and even just the enemy design looked nice. Spin dashing I guess looked great with the blue sparks when just holding in place. Soundwise was great too with the waterfall having sound effects, and some ambiant background if I recall, bridge crumbling was a nice touch. Gameplay wise, the absence of the Homing Attack was difficult for me, I loved that innovative touch but classic Sonic lacked it and there was no boosting ). All in all in was a fun experience and I have a preorder secured for November for it. What about you?

I wouldn't rate it this much. I was very disappointed with this demo. I can't give it more than a 3 and that's being generous. The screen blurs too much as things speed up and the jumping mechanics were really ruined. Playing it side by side to the original Sonic the Hedgehog 1 Green Hill Zone only made it even more obvious that the jumping felt broken. The level design was OK but the sky was too big with your jumping being too small. The graphics were good and the music sounded alright. It was okay and replays you do get use to the jumping but this end product feels cheap right now and needs work. I'm not impressed by it.
