Sony PlayStation 3 Move Charging Station - Necessary to keep your gaming session moving.

I was never too crazy about the USB cord when it came down to charging controllers for the PS3. And because of this, it lead to my purchase of the Nyko Charge Base 2. After owning that for several months now with no problems, I consider it a very good investment. Therefore, my faith in Sony PS3 peripherals have grown, so I decided to purchase the Playstation Move Charging Station, and I consider this to be another good investment for the most part. The Playstation Move Charging Station is said to charge both the Move and Navigation controllers. I have no experience with the latter, but it gets the job done with the former.

The product comes with; One Charging Station, One AC Adaptor, One AC Power Cord, and One Instruction Manual. The station itself is very small, and it doesn't take up much shelf space, but I do keep it on the floor though. However, I wouldn't recommend doing that if you have small children in the house.

The station is very easy to assemble, and although the manual is very helpful, I was able to put it together and get it working in seconds without it. The station has two spots where the controllers attach to, and when placing them smoothly, you should hear a slight click and the controllers will be in place. Then, the bottom of the controllers will have a red light blinking rapidly, and I noticed as the controllers are closer to being recharged; the light would begin to blink slowly. When the controllers are fully charged though, the red light will completely disappear. Although the system is simple to figure out and manage, it's still good to read the instruction manual anyway, as it not only comes with a diagram to hook everything up, but also some useful safety and handling tips.

There's only one issue I can think of with this overall fine product, and that's the amount of time for the charging. The manual states that it takes approximately 4 hours for the Motion Controller to charge, and 2 hours 15 minutes for the Navigation Controller. I personally feel this is way too much time, and I been planning on buying two more Move Controllers because of this. Already on one occasion while playing with someone, the controllers began to fade at the same time and we had to play something else.

The Playstation Move Charging Station is a very good product but it can use some improvement. I think it's a smart purchase along with the Move Bundle Pack if you want to keep your gaming session moving. Recommended.

Pros:
-Easy to assemble, operate, and clean.
-Helpful instruction manual.

Cons:
-Too long to charge

I always have issues with these 'added accessories" but I am happy this one actually works well. Remember when we saw every accessory possible for the PSOne?

Yes I do remember that, and I didn't buy a single one either. But these right here are so worth it. They make gaming life a lot easier. You will be amazed.
