I never thought in a million years I would want to see bats flying around, but that was before I actually witnessed the event. During the summer time here in Austin, around 8 PM when the sun is going down, thousands upon thousands of bats will come from the South Congress Bridge and fly across the sky. They come in waves. Restaurants around the area will have you seated outside just to watch the bats. Its a very "Austin" thing to do.
