I've been a drinker of vodka for as long as I've been a drinker, which is about 10 years (sorry, mom). Of course, when I was younger it was vodka cranberry, or whatever would mask the taste. I got older and vodka tonic with a lime wedge was my drink of choice, almost always. Then I decided to cut back sugar, so I switched to sugarfree vodka soda, often with a lemon wedge. I like vodka soda since I've learned to appreciate the taste of alcohol. When I first, in a slurred interrogative, asked a lovely blonde bartender to make me a drink with the Stoli Blueberi and she poured me the booze with a splash of soda, I thought it would be a lark that I would try there at that bar in Portland and never again. No, this drink changed my outlook on flavor vodka forever. A Stoli Blueberi and soda makes tastes like a muffin that gets you drunk. It is heavenly. Not too sweet, not too strong, just fizzy, fruity and delicious.
