The color is perfect for my pale skin and allows my lips to take center stage while giving my cheeks a subtle flush that looks perfectly balanced with a more dramatic eye as well.  I find the formula effortlessly buildable, allowing me to alter the color intensity depending on what I’m going for and it’s so easy to use.

For cheeks: use a foundation brush or apply directly to the apples of your cheeks with a clean fingertip.  Sponges also work well and will deposit a little more product than the other methods.  For lips: apply with a lip brush for a very sheer kiss of color– or if you’re not a fan of using your fingertips.  Usually I’m not big on the fingertip-in-a-pot method, but found it actually worked best for me on the lips!


 

This creamy stain is enriched with several naturals oils, along with 100% natural crushed mineral pigments.  It didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or settle into my pores which is a road block I often hit with cream blushes.  The texture in the pot is firm, but warms up to the touch quite easily!  The staying power for this stain wasn’t as long as a liquid stain, but that kind of goes along with the cream stain territory.



Don’t be fooled by the depth of the color in the pot, it will apply with a subtle shine (no shimmer), and is a perfect happy-medium if you just can’t give in to matte– another huge Fall trend.  This one will will help you fake it!  A few of the other colors available (7 total) do have shimmer however, so if you prefer a softer shimmer or pearl finish check those out.  An environmentally-friendly company, Suki specializes in organic solutions to advanced skincare needs and offers hair, face, and body lines in addition to color.  You’ll find Suki products on beautorium.com, a natural and organic beauty emporium.  I’ll be keeping this one close and handy in my makeup arsenal this Fall!

Hi Beauty Junky! thanks for introducing me to this, I'm always looking for stain/ colors since I'm sort of old school and only know about Benetint. This sounds like a great compact product to keep in a bag (Benetint can leak). Hope the consistency is pretty soft-- someone once gave me the Suki Butter Cream Salve and it seems so hard I have to practically microwave it!

I'll have to check out your blog for more tips!

Hi Raina! Thanks so much :) It will soften up to the touch by the warmth of your fingers... but it does feel more "firm" than creamy if that makes sense :) With a few little swirls, it picks up the color without disturbing the rest of the pot's contents. I'm not sure if it's similar in density to the Butter Cream Salve, so let me know ;) xo Amber

Wow, that's really surprising how light "nectar" looks when applied!  I already found some staple lip products (as you can see in my Top 10 Beauty Products list), but I might just be looking into this for a cheek stain.
