Sweet And Well Meaning

  • Aug 22, 2011
Bazooka's Sweet Tweets are a really nice, really sweet idea.  Each pack comes with ten perforated cards (think about those cheap Valentine's Day cards for children and you'll get the idea) that are roughly the size a big Christmas present tag.  There's a small space where you can write anything you want to make your friends, co-workers, or family members feel a little bit better during the day.

Also included is one Skittles-sized candy treat that you can punch out of the note and enjoy.  I've read reviews on other sites stating that the candy is too small or isn't worth the effort of punching it out of the note.  I think that these reviews miss the whole idea behind Sweet Tweets.  I'm sure anyone who opens a lunchbox to find a full-size Snickers bar or a bag of M&M's would be happy, but I think the idea behind these specific treats is that they are simply a little note telling a person that you love them, support them, or wish them the best.

The point of the product isn't the candy, it really is the note attached.  The candy is just a little "extra" pick me up.

In a world where Facebook "Happy Birthday" messages and Twitter posts like "Luv U" rule the day, it's nice to find something like a Sweet Tweet on your desk or in you lunchbox.  It means that other than sitting at a computer and pecking out a quick note, someone actually took the time to hand write a brief message specifically for you.  It's not read by your Facebook "friends" or anyone else.  That sort of sentiment is missing a lot in the world these days, and I applaud Bazooka for trying to bring a bit of that back.

If you want candy, buy a Tear n' Share bag of M&M's.  If you want to feel loved, send someone a Sweet Tweet.

Probably too much sugar! I suggest anise or an herbal sweetener.

Aw, that's sweet! And yes, pun intended since I'm pretty sure that's what they were going for :P This is good portion control on sweets, too, since no one actually needs a full sized version of any candy bar. Great review, K!

Thanks! I really do believe a lot of people missed the point with these things. Sure, everyone would love a whole candy bar to mow down for a treat, but to me, these little notes mean a whole lot more.
