Tags are keywords that make it easier for people to search and browse information. At Lunch, you can tag data points and media (photos, video, and audio). When tagging a data point (Superman), include only factual and accurate tags (comic books, superhero, Marvel). You can tag when you're creating new data points or media, or you can add them later in the data point editor.
A good idea to help members find what they want. It needs to be accurate and easy to grasp. Not to be mistaken as a promotional tool for any community. Tags need to apply to the topic itself. (movies will go to communities with this tag and books wil go to communities with this tag etc.) so it would be much easier to find. Closely related to tag manager in communities. Tags assist members in finding what they want to read about and help organize communities in the site.. Tags are supposed to be factual and a main part of the wiki such as "movies, sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, reading or comics". This is a great tool when used responsibly. Please check out this FAQ on tagging: http://www.lunch.com/Forums-HelpForum-What_are_tags_-93-1-1.html It remains a great tool for this network. so long as it is used properly. I like it!
