Commercial's for restaurants that aren't in my area really bug me!
Dec 4, 2009
What can I say, I watch a lot of TV and listen to a lot of radio. I wouldn't say that I'm completely imfluenced by commercials, but if I see something that sounds good, I'll check it out, hey why not right? So when I see something that's advertised and then I try and look it up and it's located 50 miles away, I get annoyed! I mean, great, maybe the company that's advertising has a ton of money to spend and maybe they'll be in our area in the next few years, but they aren't here now, so why advertise? I'm sure this same thing happens all the time, but below I'm going to list some places (restaurants actually) that I've seen TV advertisements for (on local tv channels), but are too far for me to go to.
Sonic Drive-In's: This is the number one place on my list. I've seen Sonic commercials for years now and the closest Sonic location is about 65 miles away, what the heck! I really want to try one of there drinks, but no I can't, unless I feel like driving for an hour and a half...
Ruby Tuesday: I'm assuming that Ruby Tuesday's is like a TGIF's, just focusing on a different day of the week. It still sounds good though and I haven't seen one around anywhere. I think I caught a glimpse of one when I was in Time Square in New York though, but I never went in...
Golden Corral: Most of the Sizzler's around where I live have shut down, so when I saw a commercial for Golden Corral and there surf and turf deal I was quite excited, but alas, they were no where to be seen...
There are more, I just can't think of them at the moment. I'll edit this review as more come to mind.
