Terrapin Brown IPA -- what happened to the taste?

How does it look? How's the color? Clarity? Head? Pours very dark brown with a mild head How's the nose (smell)? Sweet, spicy, fruity? It does not have a strong nose but what there is is largely of a malty sweetness. How does it taste? Malty? Hoppy? Fruity? Chalky?
