Being that's it's been over a year and several months have we seen a new season of the 47 year old show and with a fresh start of a newly regenerated eternally old character (The Doctor being that he regenrated 10 times already). New and old writers of the newly revived series continue to create new and interesting stories to keep the viewers interested. I've watched this show when I was curiously investigating what it was about after watching Family guy: Blue Harvest with a scene of them going through hyperspace and the show's intro played.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
What is this show?

Doctor Who tells a story of a Time Lord named The Doctor (Yes he has no name and has been played by various actors of the show's run) who travels through time and space in a british police box called the TARDIS (Time And Reletive Dimension In Space). Every adventure he embarks always has a companion or 2 with him and investigate the problem to save the day for that universe.

You do not need to follow the show from the very beginning to enjoy this (such cases as LOST or 24), you can simply watch any episode in the show and still be in tact to what's going on in the show.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Brief Synopsis of the episode

The Doctor (Matt Smith) and his new companion Amy (Karen Gillan) land on the Starship UK (A spaceship of the United Kingdom ages after Earth was destroyed and countries take on the stars). The Doctor and Amy investigate the strange occurance of the ship and the plot unfolds to discover why the ship never moved as revealed by Queen Elizzabeth the 10th,

Thoughts on the episode

Of the Doctor's previous two incarnations (David Tennant and Christopher E.), he brings his new companion into the farthest reaches of time and always after earth was destroyed. The episode continues to bring up the burning questions about the Doctor's personal life (being the last of his kind, read wikipedia on that ) and Amy's new antics on getting into trouble when it comes to exploring a time period.

There wasn't much action in the episode and the villins didn't really show much expression to their characters. As for the Doctor himself, he has shown more anger than his previous forms, yet still remains smart on his surroundings. He still remains to be annoyed when talking about his past endeavors.

Overall the episode was alright as the season is still fresh off the 1 year hiatus, next week we will be seeing the return of the series classic enemies, the Daleks.
