Starts out like a well written investigative journalism article, continues like a thriller, ends up as an indictment beyond even what we already know of the crimes and misdemeanors of the previous administration.
Absolutely required reading. Removes any doubt as to the duplicity of the Bush Administration with regard to covering up the incompetence of Rice, Cheney and Bush leading up to 9/11 and the total mismanagement of foreign policy thereafter. Remarkably well written and shocking; even after all we already know.
Disclaimer, one principal who comes under much investigation, and fares none too well is Phil Zelikow, a former neighbor of mine and close acquaintence, who I like and respect, but who is shown in this book to be the intentional protector of Rice and quite possibly to have been placed on the board specifically to protect the administration from full disclosure
If there is a ratio of popularity over importance, this book would score an undeservedly low fraction -- that is I don't think nearly enough people have discovered and read this tremendously important book.
