Trent Reznor took five years to record this monstrous double-CD set, wielding a perfectionist's touch in the production and the subtlety of a chainsaw in the musicianship. The result is uncompromising, full of hysterical noise and yet utterly accessible. Somehow, someway, this is one of the best pop records of the year.--Matthew Cooke

I'm not sure what all this talk is about this album being no good is coming from. I think this is the music that Trent Reznor has been waiting to make for the past 11 years and he finally did it. I am a NIN fan and I do like the older music, but the Fragile seems much deeper, lyrics and music. It has hard pieces and soft pieces, "The Great Below" is a very moving song and it's almost hard to believe it's from the same man who wrote "Wish". Over all I feel that this is the best Nine Inch Nails album …
