The Lives of 3 Extraordinary 20th Century People- A Kindle Book

  • Sep 5, 2013
The Model Citizen by Zach Johnson is an
ambitious examination of unifying theories
together with a treatise on the lives of
Paul Robeson, WEB Du Bois and Albert Einstein.
The book describes how Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
combined religion with science by unifying the
significance of objective events now popularized
by Artificial Intelligence Systems. Important
behavioral theorists are cited; such as, Carl Jung
who believed that timing and chance were decisive
factors in turning points.
Paul Robison is one of the 3 model citizens described
by Johnson. Who could forget Robeson's historic rendition
of "Old Man River" ; wherein, his voice descended into
musical chords that few opera singers could ever reach?
On the other hand, Yma Sumac (The Bird Woman) could sing
in five octaves. Robison was noted for his political
activism and association with controversial doctrines.
Aristotle addressed the political dynamic when he stated:
"Revolutions break out when opposite parties, the rich and
the poor are equally balanced and there is little or nothing
between them; for, if either party were manifestly superior,
the other, would not risk an attack."       1
WEB Du Bois is another model citizen noted for being the
father of Pan Africanism. He is famous for "The Souls of
Black Folk" and his challenge to ameliorate the color line
at some point in the 20th century. Plato addressed equality
when he stated that : "All men are by nature equal, made,
all, of the same earth by the same Creator and however we
deceive ourselves, as dear to God is the poor peasant as the
mighty prince". David Ricardo addressed wage inequality when
he stated: "There is no way of keeping profits up but by keeping
wages down".       2
Albert Einstein is noted for his famous E= mc (squared),
the Theory of Relativity, work on the unifying theories
and political advocacies on principled causes. After
appreciating the actual use of the atomic bomb, Einstein
regretted its creation. This parallels Socrates when
he stated "How much there is in the world I do not want."
Johann Von Goethe made a similar statement.     3
The Model Citizen by Zach Johnson is a well researched
model which integrates science and political discourse
utilizing a number of famous personages.
