The Nobel Prize in Literature 2010 was awarded to Mario Vargas Llosa "for his cartography of structures of power and his trenchant images of the individual's resistance, revolt, and defeat". I haven't read anything by Llosa, but it seems like the Nobel committee is continuing with the tradition of politicizing the literature prize. However, I am overall a big fan of Latin American literature and Llosa seems to be a very well known writer so I'll give this one a benefit of a doubt.
