Tomb Raider Underworld is the most recent and 8th game in the Tomb Raider series. On a positive note, the graphics and the interactive environment aspects of the game are impressive. Some of the levels are drop dead gorgeous. For example the lush jungles of coastal Thailand with Lions that you must defend yourself against and the very realistic looking Mediterranean Sea complete with Sharks that will attack you if provoked. During your adventure you will utilize a variety of weapons and tools like a grappling hook, dart gun, assault rifle, shotgun, sub-machine guns, pistols, sonar, medi-kits and more. Laura's movement is much more realistic than in past games. They claim there are over 2000 different movements that Laura can make in order to make her more life-like. The levels are full of puzzles just like in previous versions of Tomb Raider and some may be very difficult for younger kids. There is more combat in this version than on any other version. The game is fun to play but has a lot of glitches that should have been resolved prior to being releases. Some of the glitches that I found within the first few hours were being able to walk in mid air and getting stuck at certain unintended spots. The camera view is often frustrating and often is difficult to see what you need to see. Overall this is a fun game but I was a little disappointed because I had higher expectations.
