Toradora! is an anime directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and produced by the animation studio J.C.Staff.

Despite Ryuji Takasu's gentle personality, his eyes make him look like an intimidating delinquent. Class rearrangements on his second high school year put him together with his best friend, Yusaku Kitamura, and his hidden crush, Minori Kushieda. Along … see full wiki

Toradora! is a Funny, Quirky, and Touching Anime

I wasn't quite sure how I'd like yet another anime about high school classmates who are dealing with how to confess their love to the person their interested in, but I really enjoyed this anime. It's a short 25 episodes (much shorter than the big-name animes like Bleach and Naruto), but it's full of great characters, funny moments, and touching scenes.

Truly, the wildcard in this anime is Taiga Aisaka, often called the Palmtop Tiger by her classmates, due to her erratic and often violent personality. Almost as unpredictable, the main male character, Ryuji Takasu, is a gentle and caring spirit, often the doting parent figure, despite his severe appearance.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little sad the series is over, but all good things must come to an end. I would recommend this anime for anyone. Considering that I'm usually a pretty unemotional guy, I was surprised that I wasn't turned off by the romance aspect of this show.  Prepare to laugh a lot and perhaps tear up a little.  ;-)

I really enjoyed this anime! Taiga really was so adorable. But I really liked Minori, too.

Yep, they were wonderful, unique characters. Ami was a really surprising character by the end too.

There's something oddly pleasant and comforting about watching this type of anecdotal anime, full of gentle background music and sound effects.

Agreed. That's one of the reasons I really like "A Place Promised in our Early Days" and "5 Centimeters per Second" from Makoto Shinkai too. Beautifully animated with wonderfully evocative soundtracks combined with storylines we all can relate to ... or at least wish we could relate to.
