I like Hotelbook in general although I haven't been using it for some time now. For Asia, AsiaTravel is great. As for China, currently best is CTrip. Naturally, my most favorite when staying at the Starwood Hotels is SPG :-)

Definitely innstant.com. They have had the best prices and service since I started working with them a few months ago, and was never disappointed. Feel free to read my review for further details.
My most recent discovery is booking.com. This past New Years Eve, they managed to help me snag a room at the Herald Square Hotel in the heart of New York City for a shocking $130 while all the other sites that I checked were charging at least twice as much. Unheard of in NYC on a major holiday!
I like to check the deals at hotels.com, then go to the hotel's web site to see if they offer a low-price guarantee. I was able to get a significant discount on a hotel in Toronto a few years back by doing this - the Expedia price was a certain amount, and since it was lower there than what the hotel was advertising on their web site, the hotel gave me the Expedia price plus an additional discount. Usually you can get a great deal too through a hotel's site if you have AAA/CAA, or are willing to do a nonrefundable advance purchase at least 21 days out.
