I enjoy doing Yoga to relax and ease my mind, and the benefits are wonderful; but when I'm not in the Yoga mood, I like a program that will kick-butt and make me feel like I'm on fire.  I get this feeling with Turbo Jam; I was on fire before the warm-up was over when I was a newbie.  Legs flying, arms all over the place, sweat rolling off your face, great music......oh yeah!!

I have the basic set; Chalene's first DVD set, and plan on purchasing her newest sets in the near future.  I am not into kick-boxing, so I wasn't so sure I would like this program, but it surprised me because there is so much more to it than that, and the kicking is not hard or too consistent; you don't have to kick like a pro to get the benefits and I found rather quickly that this program is the BEST stress reliever I've found.  If you feel angry, anxious, pissed, or anytime you need to "get it all out" this is the exercise for you.  (Mad at my former boss, I did a DVD and pretended it was her I was punching, and it felt wonderful! LOL).  I also find that wearing weighted gloves makes it more intense and makes a nice difference in how your arms, shoulders and back feel while working out. This workout tones your whole body; even muscles and body parts you didn't know you had.  Great music also accompanies all the workouts, so it's never boring, and music, as we all know, is a great motivator.

PUNCH, KICK & JAM is one DVD that's 50 minutes long, with all the punching and leg work you would expect out of Chalene.  She's so energetic it's impossible to stop even when you're exhausted.  The routines are easy to follow; this says a lot because I'm as coordinated as a drunk doing a high-wire act.  If I can follow it, anyone can.  No time to stop, because it's very quick-paced and just plain fun.

FAT BLASTER is 30 minutes of fast paced intervals; perfect when you don't have lots of time, but still is intense and leaves you feeling exhilarated.

3T is a great DVD because you use resistance bands for 30 minutes; you still get a cardio workout, but not as intense because you're mainly working on the toning of every body part.  I like doing this one when I alternate between intense cardio and toning.

CARDIO PARTY MIX 3 is 50 minutes of fat burning moves and wonderful fast music; lots of the moves really target your abs, and again, using weighted gloves gives an extra boost.

The set comes with a chart that tells you what workout to do on what day.  It is available at Beachbody.com; check out this set and her latest more intense sets; also you will get extras such as the weighted gloves when you purchase from Beachbody; also something that comes in handy is the fact you can pay in 3 non-expensive monthly installments; this is how I purchased it, and I had no problems with the company at all.

I can't wait to get her newest program; it's supposed to be extremely intense, and I can't imagine I would be disappointed.

If you want to kick butt, literally, this is the workout for you; if you have bad back problems though, I would not recommend this program.

Excellent review! I am a long time fan of Turbo Jam and this set was marketed as the Fat Burning Elite. It contains some of my favorite all time workouts. The original set offered 5 workouts on 2 DVDs and includes the Learn and Burn workout that shows beginners the basic Turbo Jam moves and proper form. Chalene's newest program, Turbo Fire, has HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts much like the Fat Blaster workout that you've done. The Fire portions are cardio that is more like Punch, Kick & Jam...but way more intense. I'm sure you will love it!!

Thank you -- I have been wanting to get the new workout; it does sound really intense and I know I'd love it. I gotta burn some fat!! It seem too that when I saw that advertised, it had some weight lifting in it also? Or am I thinking of something else? Let me know when you can...thank you so much for reading and for the comment.

This sounds great, Brenda! I've been trying to go to more classes at my gym, but they don't fit into my schedule as well as I'd like, so this sounds like a good alternative. Thanks for sharing!

Oh come on Woo - you'd love this one since you already do cardio. Light weights; no problemo, I saw on one of your comments that work has been murder for you; this could take away any tension in a matter of minutes -- make you feel like a new man!! Thanks for the comment!!
