I wouldn't put Jonathan Kellerman or this book on the same level as Jeffery Deaver or John Sandford and their Lincoln Rhyme and Prey series, respectively; however, this book did keep me interested enough to see how the mystery would unfold that I kept reading until I finished.      While this genre, on the whole, tends to push the envelope of unbelievability and too-convenient coincidences, this book in particular seemed to really push the envelope.
