I had the privilege of visiting both Universal in Orlando and Universal in Los Angeles within the past two weeks. If you must go to one of the two, the park in Orlando is light years ahead and a much more comfortable experience. The one big selling point of LA is the Backlot tour. There are many things to do in Beverly Hills - you can buy maps of celebrities' houses, go on Celebrity tours, get stuck in traffic on the 405 - but for me one thing epitomizes Hollywood more than anything else: Universal Studios. I frequently trek down to LA to see my brother and invariably end up spending the day here, usually by myself. I think I could have saved nearly $500 so far if I'd bought the Annual Pass, but I'm worried that will just fuel my addiction. The park is tiny compared … more
