I'll admit at the start that I think lip primers set the bar too high for themselves and Urban Decay's primer is no exception. Anything you put on your lips should feel smooth. It should also moisturize. Oh, and stay put. It should probably make your lips LOOK good, too. Now add to that the pressure to work well with products put on top of the primer.. and things just get to be too much.

The Pros:

• Feels good once it gets going. The primer goes on a bit dry at first, but a couple lip rubs and it softens up and feels really smooth.
• Stands on its own. Alone, the primer works fine. It goes on clear with a matte finish and feels natural.
• Helps lipstick go on smooth & stay true to color. The primer makes a nice surface for lipstick to grab on to and it always glides on perfectly.
• SPF 15! Ladies- protect your lips, fo shizzle.

• Won't make your lipstick last. Despite product claims, it didn't seem to keep my lipstick in place any longer than normal. For me, that's the primary reason to use a primer.
• Doesn't work well with gloss. I don't know who uses primer with gloss, but the site says you can and so I tried. Yeah... didn't make it stay on any better. I might still use it under MAC lipglass since I don't like the feel of that.
• Too expensive. Ultimately, this product works well as a lip balm, but who pays $20 for lip balm?
