I'm not a big fan of asking questions that require people to make a prediction about the future, but I'm going to pose one anyway. Vampires have evolved in their depiction over millennia, metamorphosing from demonic symbols of lust to matinee movie idols. What do you think the vampire of the future will be like?

It seems there are more scientifically created vampires than ever. Since these seem a lot more possible, I think that is the way more storylines will go.

Well, already we have seen the development from a monster of the undead to a fashionable gentleman to a teenage lover. And we have seen stories that say the past films were Hollywood mythology and start seeing them walking around in the daylight and sparkling. (Arrgh). Sorry to be cynical, but I feel that the future of the vampire will have a direct correlation to what the media guys will see as moneymaking more than what is creative or right for the myths and genre. If Meyer's book did not sell, you'd still be seeing bloodsuckers since that's what sold. I think now we're going to see a development of mindless vampires and zombies, of the "Priest" type (though I have yet to see the film).
