When it came down to taking care of my skin, I always placed more focus on my face than anywhere else for obvious reasons. On the other hand, my hands suffered quite a bit because I use to neglect them a lot, even after the rough work I put them through almost everyday. A while back, I decided to pay a lot more attention to them and tackle the dryness. I've been jumping from one lotion to another with unsatisfying results, and Vaseline Body & Face Lotion for Men, joins the list of many disappointments. I would go so far to say that it was the biggest disappointment.
The lotion is said to be fast absorbing and tackles dryness in 15 seconds. It's definitely fast absorbing I'll admit. But tackles dryness in 15 seconds? How about tackles dryness by the 15th try. I found myself using so much for my ashy hands, arms, elbows, legs, and knees, that I would give up and go out just like that. I rubbed the lotion in between my fingers like a mad man, and the areas would stay looking ashy.
This past winter was the true test for me though. I would blanket my hands with the lotion, and after being outside in the cold for about 15 minutes or so. My hands would look like I was punching walls for fun. It also did a very bad job on my face too. Many times I came out and felt my face very dry, and I would take a look in my car mirror, and see the small areas on the corners of my nose, or certain shaven areas drying up again. Even now, during some of the warmer days we recently had, I'm still not satisfied with the lotion. The only time I saw somewhat decent results was using it after I shaved and stayed inside the house.
I will give credit where its due and mention that the bottle is very easy to operate. You just twist the head around and it will pop up. Also, I really didn't find the lotion to be greasy. The insides of my palms would feel great, and my face didn't look incredibly shiny or feel slick. I also like the manly smell, and the short length of time it lasts. I would say that the scent is kind of on the musky side, and this also adds to my disappointment, because the lotion has my kind of smell. It's a shame that it just doesn't agree with my skin texture.
I'm going to finish the bottle no matter what since it doesn't irritate my skin, which really shouldn't take me much longer to do anyway. But I won't be using this product again though. Instead, I'll use Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning, because I been getting better results with that.
Pros: -Absorbs fast -Not greasy -Nice smell
Cons: -Have to use too much -Doesn't last long for me at all

Extra Virgin Olive Oil might be what you're looking for when it comes to tackling with dryness. If you can get a good one, it's more economical and beneficial than any other commercial cream in the market! Another option is to try some of those body massage oil. Some absorbs real quickly and is great for the skin!
