There are a lot of reasons to stay on property when visiting Walt Disney World, not the least of which is you become immersed in a 24/7 Disney experience. Yes, it can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be if you watch closely for the discounts and choose your resort wisely. If you're going to Disney for more than a day, stay at one of their on-site resorts! We stayed at the Polynesian Resort while at Walt Disney World and it was great! The service was awesome, the room was spacious, clean and very nice - despite being one of the oldest resorts on the property. They had everything we needed and we didn't even leave Disney property for 4 days. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth everything we paid.
