At first glance, Vista is a step in the right direction for Microsoft. Better security, better performance, better looks, and better compatibility; or so they promised. After one month of using Vista, I considered it a five star product. Even though my computer was not top of the line, it was designed for Vista, and could handle all of the extras Vista had to offer. I'm not a Microsoft fan. I don't like their business practices and I don't like their software. First off, the box that the DVDs came in were made by the devil himself, it took me a good 10 minutes to figure out how the hell to get the damn thing open. I did not upgrade with this version as I had problems with Ultimate, something will undoubtedly go wrong. If it isn't the graphics card then it'll be something else. Backed up all of the information on my laptop and went to work doing a nice clean install. Took around an hour to do a full install with all the restarts.     It …

Windows Vista has gotten a lot of flack and negativity and I will be one of the minority? to disagree. Microsoft spend many years developing this operating system and I feel that they succeeded with improving the flagship OS of PCs overall. The biggest difference with Vista vs XP and earlier OSs is the overall look and feel.
