Always a great night!

With humpday (Wednesday) steadily approaching and the need to have a little fun this work week nagging my brain, the only answer for this is a favorite hangout of mine here in the Los Angeles area Woo Wop Wednesday at the Townhouse in Inglewood.

Here you will always have a blast with the wide array of great performances from Comedians that can rival the old school Chitlin' Circuit that gave us great comedians such as Robin Harris & Raymond Baxter. Some of the acts that have recently left me crying from laughter have been James Davis, Tony Baker & Ron Gee. These guys have serious skills with intorspective acts that make you think about your own life as you laugh along to their hilarious tales of love, hate, parenting, jobs or the lack of them and more.

There are also poets who can go from the famous Slam! style of poetry to the lights down low, finger snapping, soulful stuff that can break you down and build you back up. One of my faves is Jayson 'Sincere' Windom  he consistently brings something hot to the table for anyone in attendance. He never dissapoints the ladies when he dips into the softer stuff. And never to be outdone is another frequent visitor to the stage is Lyrical. The first time i heard this guy my face got melted off from his firey delivery & inpirational wordplay. I always look forward to seeing these acts on stage.

Last but not least there are always live music acts itching to get up & show their chops. My personal favorite right now is Brienne Moore. She can sing & play her guitar to death covering the wealth of original material she has written and recorded The only thing that gets better than that is when she hooks the crowd up with something new she is working on.

If your ever in need of a good time on a humpday stop by the woop wop you l never be dissapointed!
