Marlee Scott is not new to country music - she is just new to the United States and Nashville. Born in Ontario, Canada, raised in St. Albert, Alberta (a suburb of Edmonton), she moved to Nashville in 2007 to promote her music to the U.S. Her previous release, "Here to Heaven", went to the top 20's in Canada and Australia and hit number one in England, Germany and Holland.
In 2010 Marlee received a nomination for the Rising Star category of the Canadian Country Music Association Awards (CCMAAs) and was a nominee at the Canadian Radio Music Awards in 2011. Marlee has been writing and recording for several years now but has just brought her diverse talents to the ears of America's Country Music genre much to the delight of many.
The single, "Beautiful Maybe" is a rich combination of her divine raspy country voice and lively, catchy lyrics full of hope, promises, dreams and love. The song begins with a little boy, hands on his hips on the front porch, wrapped in a Superman cape looking into the sky with hopes of "It just might fly". The song covers an entire life growth right to the end with white roses on a marble slab but still looking to the sky and not feeling alone with thoughts of "Beautiful Maybe". The song is thought-provoking but not sad - the "Beautiful Maybe" in the song is full of promise.
You can find Marlee online at http://marleescott.com where you can preview the song and download it from iTunes or AmazonMP3 and listen as well to "Here to Heaven".
