I really like this new album by REM. My favorite song is "Discoverer". This tune has a beat that pumps me up. This song is a reminder to get out there and seize new opportunities whenever possible. This song is about self empowerment and it sets a positive tone for this CD. My other favorite song is "Oh My Heart". This song is about trying to adjust to change in society. Mike Mills plays the accordion on this track. Peter Buck plays the mandolin beautifully on this track. Michael Stipe's vocals are quite moving on this track. Not all of these tracks will touch the listeners emotionally. Some of these songs are just fun to listen to. "Mine Smell Like Honey" is an upbeat fun song to listen to. "UBerlin" is a song about what it feels like to survive in a foreign fast paced over populated city. "Alligator Aviator Autopilot Antimatter" is an unusual title for a song. This song is rather quite funny. It is fun visualizing what an alligator would look like on an escalator. "Me, Marlon Brando, Marlon Brando and I" is a lovely tribute song to the late actor. He is hailed as a hero on this song and I am in agreement with the sentiment of this tune. I like the subtle tone of this song very much. "That Someone Is You" is a fast paced song that only lasts for about a minute and a half. This song rocks and puts me in a good mood. I like the piano playing on the track "Walk It Back". "Every Day Is Yours To Win" a slower paced song about having a positive outlook on life. "Blue" is an unusual song to me. This song sounds rather bleak, but it is about appreciating the things we have in life. This song has a positive message in my opinion. The songs on "Collaspe Into Now" are thought provoking and some times humorous. This is a very entertaining album. Welcome Back R.E.M.!
