IZZE (pronounced ih-zee) is the brand name of a line of carbonated juice drinks produced by the IZZE Beverage Company in Boulder, Colorado. The drinks consist of approximately 70% pure fruit juice, and 30% seltzer water. IZZE contains no refined sugars, no caffeine, and no artificial ingredients of any kind.
IZZE drinks are sold at Starbucks and other coffee shops, health food stores, grocery stores, and Target stores across the western hemisphere. Some schools even include IZZE as part of an effort to offer more nutritional lunches. IZZE founded its own charity program, Project Reach, to work in cooperation with the Global Education Fund.
On September 26, 2006, IZZE Beverage Co. was purchased by PepsiCo. PepsiCo announced plans to leave IZZE as is, only assisting with marketing efforts.
The name IZZE comes from Isabel, the daughter of one of IZZE's co-founders, who is known as "Izze" by friends and family.
