Interesting Soft Drink

I love the idea of a "healthy" alternative to soda/pop. I'm not sure of the antioxidant claims of the hibiscus based drink, but the ingredient list was HFCS free. Each bottle contains 2 servings of 90 calories each. I would consider Ooba Hibiscus with Lime as a refreshing alternative to soda when a craving for bubbles kicks in. My daughter and I shared a bottle and we both agreed that we liked the sweet and sour bite blend.

Similar to sparkling flavored waters and sparkling grape juice products, OOBA Hibiscus with Lime was preferred by both of us over the sister product, OOBA Hibiscus with Orange which had a bit of an aftertaste.

Both flavors were sour and fans of sour will likely enjoy either product. As will fans of carbonated waters which I generally do not like.

The Hibiscus added a sweet and slightly exotic taste. Not medicinal or vitaminy. Very similar in taste to a sparkling grape juice with an extra citrus kick.

Tried the orange flavor too and preferred the lime.

I agree Philly. Way more quenching than soda or sugar tea, too.

I got it through Amazon. Link http://www.amazon.com/OOBA-Hibiscus-Lime-Oun...4DAU/ref=cm_cr-mr-title. A case of 12 is about $24 so it's not dirt cheap, but with Amazon's free super saver shipping at the $25 mark, it's not horribly expensive either. It was tasty and refreshing...sounds like you probably would like it.

Ooooh, I'm an Amazon fan.  Thanks for the link!

Hmmm, this sounds interesting.  I definitely dig sour and carbonated together, so I'll have to check it out!  I've only ever consumed hibiscus once after I read @HealthyRache's review of dried hibiscus flowers from Trader Joe's, and I liked it!

I've never heard of OOBA before though.  Where can I buy this?
