Sharing useful knowledge and opinions online is not only helpful, but actually has the power to make us all smarter and more thoughtful.

The more insight we have into one another's perspective, the more we can see where they're coming from ... and maybe hear one another a bit more ... and maybe become a bit more understanding and tolerant. Maybe the world even becomes a better place. Lofty? Perhaps. Worth aiming for? You bet!

A medium that is this valuable deserves to be lauded!

All reviews written between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010 are eligible. To nominate a review, click on the 'Nominate for a Lunch Award' link at the bottom of the review. The amount of nominations will weigh heavily into the reviews selected as nominees.

Nominees are welcome and encouraged to campaign for nominations. Facebook, Twitter, blog posts and emails are among the many ways to encourage your fans, friends and family to nominate you so that it makes it to the top of the nomination list. The nominees will be announced in January 2011. Approximately 5-10 nominations will be designated for each award category.

If you have great reviews on other sites, feel free to move or copy them over to Lunch in order for your contribution to be eligible for a Lunch Award! As long as your content was written in the 2010 calendar year, it's welcome to be submitted and nominated.

So... what makes a great review, you ask?

A great review is helpful to the community and thoroughly explores the topic in a compelling way. While much is subjective, a remarkable review is likely to include some or all of these qualities:
